Our farm is situated in the hamlet Ties, a part of Longiarù, 1325 m above sea level. We own 12 hectares of land, 9 of which are forest and 3 are meadows. We keep a livestock of cows, pigs, hens, some cats and a dog.
The work in the cowshed and the pigsty means to get up early: cleaning, feeding and milking are the main chores. The daily work on the farm changes, however, according to the seasons.

• In spring manure must be brought on the meadows and gardening must be done.
• During the summer it's time for haymaking, and machines are a great help for this job.
• In the autumn we bring the crop in the hayloft and chop the wood for the winter.
• Then we can enjoy some months of rest.
